PAWSHIONISTA YEAR 10
 
General Guidelines

1. Pawshionista is a pet costume competition open to all dogs and cats 6 months old and up, in good health and are neither pregnant, in heat nor diagnosed with a contagious disease.
2. There will be two categories:

  • Full Festival Costume Category
  • Pet Costume Category

3. To register, contestants must proceed to the Parkmall Office Reception Desk (2F) and present the following:

  • A valid Regular Parkmall Pet Pass ID
  • Owner’s valid ID
  • Duly accomplished registration form

There will be a non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee of P300 per entry. A big chunk of all Pet Fest registration fees will be donated to the IRO.
Registration starts on March 22 until 8pm of May 1, 2019.

4. This year’s theme is FIESTA FILIPINAS.  Parkmall will prepare a list of 20 DOT accredited festivals around the country.  Contests must only choose one category to join and randomly pick a Philippine Festival upon registration. There will be no duplication of festivals per category.

5. Awards and Prizes:
· Full Festival Costume Category
o Grand Winner Php10,000 cash, trophy
o 1st Runner up Php5,000 cash, trophy
o 2nd Runner up Php3,000 cash, trophy
o People’s Choice Award Php1,500 cash and certificate

· Pet Costume Category
o Grand Winner Php5,000 cash, trophy
o 1st Runner up Php3,000 cash, trophy
o 2nd Runner up Php2,000 cash, trophy
o Parkmall’s Choice Award Php1,500 cash and certificate

6. The Pawshionista Year 10 program will be in a pageant format and contestants will be required to attend the full orientation and pictorial on May 4 and rehearsals on May 11 in preparation for the show.
7. All rules and guidelines must be strictly observed by the participants. Parkmall reserves the right to disqualify those who do not follow the rules and guidelines that will be given.
8. The organizer has the right and option to cancel the whole event should there be less than 10 participants registered by May 1, 2019.

Full Festival Costume Category
In this category, both pet and handler costumes will be judged on how well they presented their drawn Fiesta.

a. Only one handler can be on stage with the pet. Handlers must at least be 15 years old at the time of the show and must be pageant ready.
b. Props for the pets will be allowed as long as they fit the runway and will go beyond 2ft above the pet’s height.
c. Headpieces and masks for pets must be properly fastened and must stay on throughout the contestant’s walk.
d. Pets should be comfortable in their costumes and props during the show. The pet contestant is expected to walk the runway or stay in the designated prop. Pets who refuse to cooperate during the competition may be carried by the handler but may result in point deductions.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:
30% Interpretation of Festival (Is the fiesta recognizable in the costume)
30% Visual Impact (color harmony, balance and proportion,  over-all design)
20% Craftsmanship & Creativity (costume details, creative use of material, quality of execution)
20%  Confidence and Personality (stage presence of both pet and handler, Q&A)

Pet Costume Category
This is a  costume category where pets are encouraged to come in their interpretation of their drawn Philippine Fiesta! During the pageant, only the pet will be judged.

a. Handler  must be 15 years old and up and must strictly wear an all black outfit only so as not to draw attention away from the competing pet.
b. Costume, props  must pose no discomfort to the pet.
c. Arcs, carts or floats are not allowed.
e. Pets should be comfortable in their costumes and props during the show. The pet contestant is expected to walk the runway or stay in the designated prop. Pets who refuse to cooperate during the competition may be carried by the handler but may result in point deductions.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:
30% Interpretation of Festival (Is the fiesta properly presented in the leash/collar/harness)
30% Visual Impact (color harmony, balance and proportion, over-all design)
25% Craftsmanship & Creativity (details, creative use of material, quality of execution)
15%  Pet Personality

ALL BREED FUN MATCH

1. Parkmall All Breed Fun Match is a dog show open to all breed and sizes from the age of three (3) months and above.
2. Dogs must have complete vaccination, in good health,and are neither pregnant, in heat nor diagnosed with a contagious disease.
3. To register, participants must proceed to Parkmall Concierge Desk and present the following:

  • Valid Regular Pet Pass ID for each dog.
  • Duly accomplised registration form
There will be a non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee of P200 per team. A big chunk of all Pet Fest registration fees will be donated to Island Rescue Organization.
Registration starts on March 22 until 8pm of May 8, 2019.
4.  Awards and Prizes:
Overall Best in Show Php2,500.00 cash, trophy
Female Best in Show Php1,500.00 cash, trophy
Male Best in Show Php1,500.00 cash, trophy

5. The main categories are:
Small Breed Category
Medium Breed Category
Large Breed Category
Each main category will be divided to Male and Female minor subcategorywhich then each have subcategories of 3-6 months, 6-9 months, 9-12 months, 1-2 years, & 2 years up.

PET ADVENTURE RACE PLUS!

1. Pet Adventure Race is a time trial team relay obstacle course race. One team must be composed of 3 pairs of Dog-Handler.
2. This is open to all dogs that are 8 months and up upon registration with complete vaccination, in good health,and are neither pregnant, in heat nor diagnosed with a contagious disease.
3. Handlers must be 18 years old and up, healthy and physically fit.
4. There will be two rounds:

  • Elimnation Round
  • Championship Round

5. To register, participants must proceed to Parkmall Concierge Desk and present the following:

  • One (1) valid I.D. of each handler.
  • Updated Vaccination of each dog.
  • Valid Regular Pet Pass ID for each dog.
  • Duly accomplished registration form.

There will be a non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee of P600 per team. A big chunk of all Pet Fest registration fees will be donated to Island Rescue Organization.
Registration starts on March 22 until 8pm of May 8, 2019.

6. Each team must have a team name and a team captain. Team uniforms are required but will not form part of the score.
7. Awards and Prizes:
Champion Team Php 9,000, medal, pet products
1st Runner Up Php 6,000, medal, pet products
2nd Runner Up Php 3,000, medal, pet products
3rd Runner Up Php 1,500, medal, pet products

8. Participants will be required to attend the orientation on May 12, 2019, Sunday at 2F Parkmall Conference Room.
